Dear child of mine this I write to you with pride

I want to say the journey began from the moment I held you in my arms

With tears in my eyes I knew an angel had been born

A angel whose smile would be the reason for my existence from this moment forth

No amount of gold or silver can sum up your worth

Those big eyes of yours that looked at me for the first time as I held you

They are imprinted in my mind as my greatest achievement

These are my words I write to you with pride

I want to tell you the first time you uttered your first word

And the moments you constructed your first sentence

My heart was filled with pride and excitement

As a watched you grow the future seemed to glow brighter with every step you took

These are words I want to tell you

That even though my existence has become a memory in history

My thoughts and presence will forever be with you

My heart will forever cherish the moments I had to watch you prosper

The moments I held u in my arms and watch you take your steps to greatness

Even though I am not around to give you the advice you need as a parent

Please know that I’ll forever be the light that guides you

And that I will always be proud of the person you become
