I had a dream
Dark skies
Stolen stars
Moon refusing
To share its light
Sombre cries
Howling wolves
Pleading with the moon
To show them
Their way home
I dreamt
We parted ways
Moses resurrected
To seperate us
Like he did the red sea
Failing to reach you
Lost without you
Nightmares producing
Dark thoughts
Of us apart
Your image slowly fading
My memory of you
Being plucked out
From my imagination
You never heard me scream
Scream out your name
As I awaken
I gazed around perplexed
By scenes around me
I searched for you
You lay beside me
Peacefully
I smiled calmly
Knowing you were here
Here to comfort me
Never to leave
Back to sleep I went
To majestic dreams
Of sunsets and smiles
