dear future

Dear future, please reveal yourself to me
I want to see where this life takes me,
to know if i find love or give love to those who need
to hear those words being uttered to them.
I want to see if my heart will be the treasure that others will seek,
whether i will have endless memories of a life i could have lived, 
or my dreams will be realized and i will be content. 
This is my wish to see whether my laughter
will bring smiles to those that are in pain from heartache,
whether my touch will penetrate
the walls of those who protect their hearts from pain,
whether my embrace will be met with appreciation and gratitude.
Dear future
let me gaze through the crystal ball and
the shadows of time to see
whether i will be forever happy and
that pain will never penetrate to the depths of my soul and
contaminate this playful existence that i have created,
let me gaze into you and
figure out if i will be admired by souls
that will treasure and uphold my existence,
that my spiritual growth shall continue to grow and
be something that i hold dear till i lay in my death bed.
let me see if the people i touch along my journey
will rejoice my presence when the spirit has been lifted from my body,
when my last breathe has escaped this vessel that is plagued by the existence of time.
Dear future
i plead with you to let me peek into my existence and
smile for i know i have realized the reason for why i choose to live.
let me be in aw of the life that i will live and
embrace the existence which awaits me.
