In the Silence I found myself

In the silence I located my solitude

It wasn't a place like no other 

Its location not defined 

By longitude and latitude

A fortress only defined by my attitude 

Creations never before imagined 

The silence enhanced my ability to imagine 

It enhanced my ability to create wonder 

It filled every cell in my body 

And my heartbeat played music 

With every beat every bone in my body 

Played in sequence like an orchestra 

The silence was its conductor 

Slowly instructing  every  inch of my body 

To create wonder never before imagined 

I created pictures with my melody 

The artist still unknown to me 

With very stroke 

The silence tapped into a power long forgotten

It tapped into a power that lay dormant

The silence pushed my body to its limits 

While whispering your power is limitless

In the silence I found more then my solitude 

I found an instructor 

That knew how to play me like an instrument 

It strung me along to the edge of wonder

Revealed in me the limitless potential
In the solitude of silence
I found my self
I found hope in every vein in my body
I found a reflection of me steering back at me
In the silence I realized  

I could produce a melody that keeps me going
A melody that unlocks a gift i never knew existed
And in this gift I saw my soul
It lay there untouched and pure
And at that moment gazing at this majestic wonder
I became whole
