Questions Youth ask
Why
must our voices be heard when it suits you
Why
must we be heard when our agenda is in line with yours
When
we mobilise why do you fear
Are
you so hell bent on keeping your status quo?
Keeping
your position of privilege
Privilege
that you have immersed off the backs of people like us
Privilege
that has been gathered
From
the sweat and blood of souls that could never speak out
You
bring out guns and propaganda to stop us
To
stop the generation born from a generation that was voiceless
You
try to stop the spread of our opinions
Because
you know the truth we speak will alter your lies
You
live in fear when you see a group of us
You
live in fear when you hear us speak of change
You
fill our minds with distractions that turn us against each other
Fighting
amongst each other is a sight you would freely endorse
For
you know that would keep the scent off you
You
are quick to point out what is wrong
Too
quick to point out the things that keep our minds off of you
Because
you think if you are out of our sight
Your
actions will inevitably escape our thoughts and be out of our minds
Why
must our voices be heard when it suits you
Why
must we be heard when our agenda benefits you
