The future called

I put it on hold because I was in love with my past

The moments that took my breath away

Lingered in my mind encrypted

The future called

The call went through to voice-mail

Cause I am trapped by the past and time stood still

A victim of time trapped in one era

The future called

My ears drummed out the noise and all sounds

Except what played on in my mind

I forgot that the future was calling

and my past swallowed me  

the picture I saw in my head felt so real

then reality forgot I existed and carried on without me

the future called one last time

the past went from smiles and laughter

the concrete wall slowly drained the life out of me

I screamed for help but I was imprisoned in my own mind

And the thoughts that brought me joy before

Started to strangle the life out of me

Trapped by time in my mind I couldn't speak

The future called telling me the bus was leaving

Trapped in my mind and thoughts I screamed

But the past never let me go

Trapped in the past that would never be reality
